Healthy Hearing & Balance Care follows an unbundled structure of fees and all services are provided by appointment
C-Fees: Payment is expected on the day of the appointment and fees are not refundable.
- First visit: $105 (plus cost of tests, procedures and devices if required).
- Subsequent visits: $80 (plus cost of test procedures and devices if required).
- Diagnostic audiology tests: most test items are bulk-billed to Medicare upon a GP’s referral (download Referral to Healthy Hearing & Balance Care)
- Hearing aids: from $1200
- Other devices and services: price on application
Fee applies for appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice.
E-Fees: $105 is charged to your credit card or paid by EFT prior to the first online appointment. Refund is available in case of cancellation providing more than 24 hours notice.
Major credit cards are accepted and maybe subject to transaction fees.
Eftpos payment is preferred for C-fees.
Reimbursement of fees:
Health funds may provide partial reimbursement for audiological services and hearing aids and full reimbursement for cochlear implants and BAHA depending on level of cover.
Medicare may provide partial reimbursement for up to 5 visits for audiological services to eligible patients with a chronic condition through the CDM scheme upon a GP’s special referral. (download CDM referral)
Office of Hearing Services (OHS) provides full cover for services and hearing aids to eligible pensioners upon application. (download OHS application)
Work Cover and Insurance Companies may reimburse or cover in full all the fees for assessmsent, rehabilitaion, hearing aids and devices.
Seniors Citizen Card holders receive a 5% discount on devices.
